Getting Started

How do I sign up?

Simply add your medication to your cart. You'll then be guided to complete a brief online health assessment, which will be reviewed by one of our licensed healthcare providers.

What will my virtual doctor visit look like?

You’ll complete a brief online form about your health, lifestyle, and medical history. A licensed physician then reviews your information, designs a personalized treatment plan, and if appropriate prescribes your GLP-1 medication for home delivery.

Who is eligible for GLP-1 therapy?

GLP-1 therapy is designed for adults 18+ who are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and do not have certain medical conditions that could make treatment unsafe.

How is The Pharmacy Place different than working with other online weight loss programs?

The Pharmacy Place compounds GLP-1s in-house, cutting out middleman markups and providing tighter quality control. We also have a direct pharmacy line where you can reach a licensed pharmacist with questions or concerns.

Who do I contact if I have questions?

You can call The Pharmacy Place directly at 1-833-586-3111 or email us at [email protected]. There is always a pharmacist on staff to answer any questions you may have!

About the Medication

What is the difference between Semaglutide and Tirzepatide?

Semaglutide works by mimicking the GLP-1 hormone to reduce appetite and help you feel full longer. Tirzepatide works on both GLP-1 and GIP receptors, which may provide greater appetite suppression and weight loss for some people.

How should my GLP-1 medication be taken?

The GLP-1 medication is administered as a subcutaneous (under the skin) injection once every 7 days, as directed on your prescription label. Your vial includes a QR code that links to a patient information guide with step-by-step instructions and a visual diagram demonstrating the proper injection technique.

What are the possible side effects?

Most people experience only mild, temporary side effects with semaglutide and tirzepatide, which may include:

  • Redness at the injection site
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Abdominal pain
  • Diarrhea
  • Constipation
What happens if I stop taking the medication?

It’s safe and common to stop semaglutide or tirzepatide, though increased appetite and weight gain can occur. Tapering gradually with your physician can help manage these changes and support sustainable, long-term results.

Shipping and delivery

How long will it take to receive my medication?

After you complete your online consultation, your physician will send your prescription directly to us – typically the same day as of your visit. Prescriptions received in the morning usually ship the same day, while those received in the afternoon ship the following business day. Most patients receive their medication within 48 hours of their online consultation. Orders placed on Thursday or Friday may ship on the following Monday to maintain cold-chain integrity and ensure product quality during transit.

How will I receive my medication?

You will receive your medication via UPS or FedEx in a temperature-controlled package with all administration supplies (e.g., alcohol swabs/syringes) included.

What should I do if my package hasn’t arrived?

If your package is lost or delayed reach out to The Pharmacy Place right away so we can work to quickly resolve the issue.

Can I return my medication after I have received it?

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept medications back once they have left the pharmacy.

Pricing

How much does it cost?

Semaglutide starts at $139 and goes up to $179 depending on your dose. Tirzepatide starts at $179 and goes up to $299.

Are there any additional fees?

No membership fees, no consultation fee, no shipping fees, and no other hidden fees.

Storage and Handling

How should I store my medication?

You should store your medication in the refrigerator (36-46 degrees F).

What if I leave my medication out of the refrigerator on accident?

GLP-1s are stable at room temperature (Semaglutide for 56 days and Tirzepatide for up to 21 days). Refrigeration does extend the life of the product. If you leave your medication out it is okay, just be sure to return it to the refrigerator as soon as possible.

What if I accidentally put my medication in the freezer?

GLP-1s are not stable at frozen temperatures and freezing is likely to cause the active ingredients to become far less potent. It is advised that if your medication is frozen you should discard the medication.
